With the fully functional Summerside Airport, Slemon Park is a perfect location for aviation events and training.  Summerside Airport has hosted Royal Canadian Air Force National Search and Rescue Competitions, Atlantic Canada International Air Shows, a National Health Canada Training Exercise, the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association Annual Fly In, and an Air Rally International Fly In.
